When young people age out of foster care at 18 to 21 years old, they face significant challenges: becoming solely responsible for their shelter and food, arranging their own transportation to work or school, finding a job with enough hours to pay the bills and continuing their education to qualify for jobs that pay better than minimum wage. These challenges make them extremely vulnerable.

Wings of Hope advocates for at-risk Central Florida teens and young adults who age out of foster care. We strive to help these young people develop into healthy, confident and self-sufficient adults by offering matching funds and incentives centered around their efforts to improve their level of education, establish good work habits and learn independent-living skills.
