  • The Points of Light Foundation Washington, D.C., honored the Wings of Hope Foundation with the Daily Points of Light Award. “The Daily Points of Light Award honors an individual or organization that makes a positive and lasting difference in the lives of others. Originally instituted during the administration of President George H.W. Bush, the program was reinstated on January 1, 1998, by the Points of Light Foundation, the Corporation for National Service and the Knights of Columbus.”

  • The Association of Fundraising Professionals selected Wings of Hope as its Outstanding Philanthropic Foundation. The award was presented at the celebration of the National Philanthropy Day honoring “local heroes whose community involvement and philanthropic efforts have changed the face of Central Florida.”

  • Tess Frana celebrated her 10th birthday by requesting donations to Wings of Hope instead of gifts. Her classmates at All Souls Catholic School responded generously, raising $350 to help at-risk young people aging out of foster care.
  • For its Lenten Project, Nativity Catholic Church rallied parishioners to raise more than $13,000 for Wings of Hope at the many at-risk young people we assist.

  • Wings of Hope appeared on WHLV-TV 52’s “Joy in our Town” program to discuss Central Florida’s abused, neglected and abandoned children, in addition to at-risk youth who “age out” of foster care.
  • The United Way of Volusia-Flagler Counties presented the Wings of Hope Foundation its First Place, Outstanding Civic Organization, award in recognition of our significant volunteer service to the community.

  • Wings of Hope Lynx-Bus

    Lynx Bus featured Wings of Hope among several charitable organizations on its Public Service Bus. The Wings of Hope logo was displayed prominently on the side and back of the bus, which travels throughout Orange, Seminole and Osceola counties.

  • Children’s Home Society renamed its home for teen boys to “Brian’s House,” in honor of all those who support the Wings of Hope Foundation.

  • Boys Town of Central Florida dedicated part of its emergency children’s shelter as the “Wings of Hope Nursery” in honor of all the Wings of Hope supporters who provided cribs, dressers and other equipment for the infants and toddlers they serve.

  • Wings of Hope was named Children’s Home Society’s Volunteers of the Year.

  • Boys Town of Central Florida awarded Wings of Hope with the Honorary Citizenship Award and enrolled Wings of Hope in the national Father Flanagan Society in appreciation of our support.

  • The Orange County Bar Association presented their annual Liberty Bell Award to the Wings of Hope Foundation in recognition of the work being done to help needy children in Central Florida.
