WHLV-TV 52 Guest Appearance [04-03-2011]We were honored to be invited to be on the Joy In Our Town program on WHLV-52. Our discussion pertained to the abused, neglected and abandoned children in Central Florida and the youth who “age out of the system” when they become 18 years old. (The segment is scheduled to air on Brighthouse channel 22 on April 22, 2011 at 1:00pm; April 23 at 3:30am; April 25 at 11:30am; April 26 at 3:30am; April 28 at 3:30am.)

We are focused on:

1. Reuniting children with friends and/or relatives whenever possible by supporting programs geared at intervention and prevention.
2. Placing children in residential homes if they are unable to be reunited with family or relatives where they can receive extensive one-on-one counseling and treatment.
3. Transitioning young adults who have aged out of the system at 18 years old through educational assistance and the costs associated with attending school.
